Newspapers were introduced more than size centuries ago. It has been traced that the very first newspaper was introduced in Europe and was a handwritten newsletter that was distributed privately among passerby’s, merchants, agents, and during the time of world war. The first printed form of newspaper was published in Germany in 1400, which was in the form of broadside or pamphlets. Such newspapers were not loaded with information as it is today but contained the major information that would create awareness among the public.
In various English countries’ the earliest newspaper was Corantos, and it was a form of small pamphlets that were introduced only at the time of important events. The other famous newspapers, which are produced in 1622 and 1640, were The Weekly news and the News book. The very first original and true newspaper was published in 1666 and was known as London Gazette. It was sanctioned officially for quite a long time and was the only newspaper published in the end of the century. Newspapers were also introduced in America, it was seen that the growth of the newspaper continued Unabated during the post-war years because it was a time and people wanted to communicate with each other and the only medium possible was newspaper.
An amazing number of newspapers were produced in 1880. The number of newspaper rose more than 11,314. By the end of 1890, more than 1,000,000 copies were produced to everyday and issued. The quality of paper used was not as good as it is today. And some of the modern newspaper that good quality paper made their newspaper fancy with the help of boulder banner, funny pages, yellow journalism, etc.
